The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, repudiated the sanction imposed on the United Nations Special Rapporteur on the Palestinian territories, Francesca Albanese, for naming the crimes committed by Israel against Gaza as genocide.
“The rapporteur on the Palestinian question made a report with reliable evidence about the genocide that Israel is committing against the Palestinian people, and they sanctioned her. End of the world!” ; he said on his show Con Maduro+.
He explained that the sanction came about for showing strong and reliable evidence of the genocide being carried out by Netanyahu against the Palestinian people. “It is impressive how the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Volker Türk, did not comment on this unusual sanction. It doesn't say anything, it doesn't do anything,” he said.
He said that Albanese was not afraid to point out those who commit these horrendous crimes. “Young people like Francesca Albanese will transcend in the future, through courage. Your report should be released. With that report, if we are able to communicate it, sooner rather than later we will have the victory of the Palestinian people,” he said.
