Head of State: Strengthening our currency will be achieved by generating wealth with national production

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, stressed the importance of continuing to strengthen and increase domestic production with an export vocation as the main weapon for building an impertubable currency exchange system and a strong national currency.

During the Con Maduro+ program, carried out at the Gran Cacique Maiquetía Hotel in the state of La Guaira, the Venezuelan President warned that currently, as part of the psychological war being carried out by imperialism and opposition extremism, with the aim of destabilizing the country.

“The dollar issue is resolved with more domestic production, and less imports, because it is no longer the petrodollar ball that came in before economic sanctions, now they are currencies generated by the national economy,” he said.

He noted that among the achievements achieved is that 90% of the food consumed in the country is domestically produced, while the digital payment system has guaranteed that 85% of the payments made for purchases are in national currency.

He also specified that another of the actions he has emphasized among Venezuelan businessmen is the need to reduce imports of superfluous and unnecessary merchandise for the country in order to ensure that the currencies generated by the country are directed to development.
