Head of State thanks the Government of Iran for sending 2 million vaccines

The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, during his Con Maduro+ program, highlighted the growth of the Venezuelan pharmaceutical industry, which, thanks to the support of the Islamic Republic of Iran, has achieved greater production.

“Through the agreements we have with the sister Republic of Iran, 2 million doses of vaccines arrived in the country for the national immunization plan,” he said.

He noted that cooperation in the health sector from Iran is “going from strength to strength” and medical supplies will continue to arrive.

He stressed that the Comprehensive Health Vaccination Intensification Plan, which has more than 10,000 vaccinators and 5,400 vaccination posts across the country, through the Expanded Immunization Program (PAI), essential vaccines such as BCG, Hepatitis B, Polio, Pentavalent Viral, Yellow Fever, Measles and Toxoid are being offered, all completely free of charge.
