Head of State: The month of July has always been a month of patriotic reaffirmation

The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, affirmed that the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) is the heir of the Liberation Army and, therefore, a guarantee of independence and patriotism.

At the ceremony of military promotion of the Presidential Honor Guard (GHP) and the General Directorate of Military Counterintelligence (DGCIM), the Head of State emphasized the deep historical connection between the month of July and the birth of the Venezuelan Homeland.

In this regard, he said that “the month of July has always been a month of patriotic reaffirmation, because the month of July marks the birth certificate of the country that gave birth to it, with its sacrifice, with its blood, it gave freedom to all of America, Venezuela”.

He recalled that “on July 5, we were born marked to make history and we were born and won the right to exist, because El Libertador built a popular, united army to liberate peoples who had been enslaved 300 years in the darkness of colonialism and slavery.”
