The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, announced the three primary tasks of the Ezequiel Zamora National Peasant Union (UNCEZ), within the framework of the Founding Congress, held this Saturday, September 20, in the state of Aragua, to the 10,000 peasants present at the event and the 36,000 spokespersons connected by videoconference nationwide.

In this regard, he specified that the first task is organization and training, “so the 46,000 elected spokeswomen and spokespersons elected by the rank and file, by more than a million participating peasants must be trained.”

“It's about lifelong learning, training well, politically, ideologically, methodologically, studying, learning,” he said in the state of Aragua, where he led the Founding Congress of the Ezequiel Zamora National Peasant Union (UNCEZ).

The second task, he said, is the Productive Plan, to make 100% regulated hectares productive, which is the 14 million hectares that have been given and regulated for the peasants of Venezuela, through the Land Law, enacted by Commander Hugo Chávez, in December 2001, and to continue distributing land to produce.

He highlighted the need to resume the concepts of regenerative agriculture to bring the country to an optimal level of the “PAE Plan”: Producing to Supply and Export.

On the third task, he stressed that it is the comprehensive defense of the Nation, “which has two fundamental components: the active and prolonged resistance of the People and the permanent offensive on all fronts of work and battle.”

“There is no excuse for nothing to stop, for nothing to stop. For Bolivarians, Chavistas and the rebel people, there are no excuses, especially for peasants,” he emphasized.
