The president of
the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, called on education
workers this Thursday to transcend old trade unionism
and build new movements for the new society.
“The
time has come to transcend the bureaucratic structures of aging and
exhausted trade unionism, and let's move on to building new movements and powers for a
new society,” said the Head of State during the closing of the Pedagogical Congress of Bolivarian Teachers and Teachers.
He stressed that this
event “represents the first constituent social process of
workers' movements, which must be deployed throughout the social and economic
structure of the country.”
The Dignitary stated
that “all the stars indicate that we are at the right time, at the
best moment of the Bolivarian Revolution of the 21st Century, founded by our
beloved Commander (Hugo) Chávez”.
In this regard, he emphasized that “everything we have achieved we have achieved with our own effort, at will, that no one has ever given us anything and
no one will ever give us anything.
We were independent and free because
we built an army that defeated the army of the Spanish Empire,” he said.
