The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro,
through his Telegram channel, described as successful this weekend
's popular day, the formation of the
Bolivarian Integral Base Committees (CBBI).
“The
Venezuelan people took a firm step towards direct democracy with the formation of the Bolivarian Integral Base
Committees (CBBI). This day marked the
birth of a new communal phase, where every solution is born from and for ordinary
people. Quite a success! ”, he wrote.
The CBBIs have the mission of strengthening political organization, meeting the social needs of communities and operating as a structure for the comprehensive defense of the nation.
