The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, this Monday, November 11, called on the entire general population to take care of all boys and girls to train them with educational height, in the face of the harmful influences produced by the Internet and all current technological derivatives.
“This is a very important topic, here there are women mothers, there are fathers and grandparents, the concern is when you see children and what influence they are receiving, also by adults because the influence of social networks is very strong, there is a lot of dependence on the cell phone,” he said.
During the Digital Zone segment, in broadcast number 66, of his Con Maduro+ program, he reported that the Bolivarian Government is evaluating some strategies to bring them to schools and high schools, “I have been talking to Minister Héctor Rodríguez about this issue, which I have been alerting for years.”
“We have started the trial in 100 schools and high schools to regulate the use of cell phones and tablets. It has yielded good results. Socialization has increased, the exchange between girls and boys, the anguish of the anxious generation and violence, which sometimes positions itself, has decreased,” he said.
The head of state announced that “we will soon show the results of these pilot plans”.
He argued that the lethal influence of social networks on children is a global issue. “It's already under debate in several countries, such as China, which has established exemplary protections for its youth and children,” he said.
“This debate is in London, Madrid, Berlin, New York, Caracas, it's already a debate,” he said
As an example, he mentioned the effect of video games on the minds of children and young people.
66% of Venezuelans believe that the use of cell phones should not be allowed in schools.
