Head of State: Venezuela is open to political and economic relations with absolute respect

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, confirmed that Venezuela is open to political relations, to culture, to economic investment, to knowledge, with only one condition: Absolute respect for the independence and dignity of the Venezuelan People.

“Slaves more than ever to anyone, subordinates to no one, no one's puppet or puppets, not more ever,” he emphasized.

In that regard, he mentioned the strength and progress of the “Strategic Partnership for Every Test and For Every Moment”, based on the strong bilateral relationship between China and Venezuela.

“This has been a historic brotherhood between a great power, under conditions of respect and equality. Venezuela is open to the world, we are open to political relations,” he said.

He made the statement at the inauguration of the Great China-Venezuela Expo: “A splendid future is built on 51 years of bilateral cooperation”, within the framework of the 51st Anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and the People's Republic of China.

The head of state also recalled how Commander Hugo Chávez promoted “weaving together and building this powerful strategic partnership in a brilliant way”.

He stressed that “all of Venezuela knows that in the worst situations, President Xi Jinping and the strength of the People's Republic of China were on our side, giving their support.”
