The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, stated that humanity is currently facing two paths: one that is marked by the “decadent imperialist culture of the West and the other, which is built on the basis of a new world order”.

In this context, he considered that Western culture is “lost, full of drug addiction and anti-values”, contrasting it to the “multipolar world of new emerging countries, with a new society”, an awakening that in Venezuela has been called 21st Century Socialism.

This was expressed in the “Simón Rodríguez” Community Self-Government Room, in La Guaira, where he led a day of the Military Community Brigades for Education and Health (BRICOMILES), to offer advances in the recovery of schools and the consolidation of direct democracy.

In this context, the head of state highlighted the advances of the Venezuelan education system as an example of this new society.

“Every time we have better methods of pedagogy, each time we have better teachers (...) it's a permanent process that involves the entire community,” he said.

He argued that “education touches the school, touches the community”, highlighting the collective commitment to the formation of values.
