Head of State: With justice we overcome the ambushes and criminal violence of fascism

This Saturday, August 3rd, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, emphasized that the People must defend the right of the history of Venezuela, “let's defend the right of the Liberators.”

“Let's make peace, unity. We will overcome the ambushes and criminal violence of fascism, and with justice we will move forward to consolidate peace,” he said.

He stressed that “long live the struggle of the People of Venezuela and the victory of July 28, and also the Civic-Military-Police Union.”

This was stated by the head of state, in the outdoor spaces of the Miraflores Palace, where he received the Great National March for the Defense of Peace, carried out by the revolutionary forces.

He also recalled that it was Commander Hugo Chávez, who changed the date of the celebration of Flag Day in Venezuela to August 03, in honor of Francisco de Miranda.

He commented that at that time the Supreme leader of the Bolivarian Revolution claimed that “the real Flag Day was when he arrived with Miranda's revolutionary weapons and hoisted himself in the Choir Candle.”
