The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, highlighted this Friday that the creation of the Strategic Operational Command of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (CEOFANB), by Commander Hugo Chávez, for the transformation of the Armed Forces.

“With the creation of the Strategic Operational Command, the process of structural transformation of our National Armed Forces began to be Bolivarian, truly Bolivarian,” said the head of state during the ceremony for the 20th Anniversary of CEOFANB.

He stressed that this represented a “change that has meant a revolution, the military revolution of the 21st century, a true revolution that must be deepened as an ideological, doctrinal revolution, a military revolution to be in the technological capacity to combat with the issues that are being combated today, with the methods that are being combated today. Fight on land, at sea and in the air.”

In this regard, he stressed that “the professional quality of our official service is one of the greatest things that has been achieved in the last 20 years. Their morals, their technical preparation, their professional preparation, their commitment, their capacity for sacrifice. It's admirable!” , he exclaimed.
