The head of Government of the Capital District, Nahum Fernández, reported that the work teams of this instance were deployed in the Macarao parish, where the Los Angelinos ravine overflowed, as a result of the intense rains that occurred in the city this Sunday, September 1st.
Fernández, through his account on the social network Instagram, pointed out that this phenomenon “caused the damage to five homes, which we are committed to recovering. It is important to note that heavy rainfall swept away one vehicle, resulting in total loss, while two others suffered mechanical and electrical damage.”
He also stated that, together with Civil Protection and Fire Department of Caracas, work was carried out to remove waste, clean and clear public roads. “Thanks to the preventive actions implemented by the Bolivarian Government, no significant damage was recorded, unlike in other years,” he said.
He reiterated that, under the instructions of the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, they will continue to provide immediate attention to the affected communities, for which the Government of the Capital District “will be on full alert, working to guarantee the safety and well-being of our people.”
