In Monagas, more than 10,000 patients attended the ophthalmology service at the Dr. Manuel Núñez Tovar University Hospital

A total of 10,610 ophthalmic patients were treated during the first semester of 2025 at the “Dr. Manuel Núñez Tovar” University Hospital (HUMazo News Team) in the state of Monagas.

According to a publication on the Telegram channel of the Ministry of Health, during that period, 638 surgical interventions were performed, covering cases of cataracts, pterygium, glaucoma and ophthalmic emergencies.

“Each surgery is an opportunity to transform lives, offering effective solutions to visual problems and significantly improving the quality of life of our patients,” said the Health portfolio in the aforementioned message.
