INAMEH and Civil Protection intensify actions to prepare and raise people's awareness (+rains)

The president of the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology (INAMEH), Reidy Zambrano, reported that with the approach of the end of the rainy season and the beginning of the dry season, the Institute, together with the National Directorate of Civil Protection, are intensifying preparation and awareness-raising actions throughout the country.
He added that we have wave No. 41 crossing our Venezuelan territory and wave No. 42 is coming where we are working on monitoring to execute any plan of action. He also highlighted the importance of public awareness in the face of climate change.
He highlighted that Aurora stations and community rain gauges are being implemented to strengthen early warnings, allowing communities in an integrated manner, “this allows us to mitigate any type of risk,” MPPRIJP press reports.
In relation to the Cordonazo de San Francisco de Asís, we have a direct relationship, from a Catholic point of view, as a believing people and recalled the slogan that says, “even if a sunny morning dawns, take out the umbrella, because in the afternoon it may surprise us”; and he urged the population to keep informed through the INAMEH forecasts and to trust the National Risk System.
