The Center for Cultural Diversity of Venezuela, in Caracas, was the space chosen for the inauguration of the exhibition Santos Innocentes de Caucagua: A Good Practice for Humanity, by renowned photographer Raffaele Salvatore.

The president of the Casa de los Bandos y Parrandas, José Ángel Ramírez, reported during the event the progress made in drafting the code of ethics for this emblematic expression of Barloventeña's identity, which was recognized as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO.

He explained that this code is a key document for the preservation, transmission and respect of this manifestation. “This document will be a guide to maintaining the authenticity of tradition and promoting training processes with youth, through youth cultural brigades of the Holy Innocents of Caucagua,” said Ramírez, quoted in a press release from the Government of Miranda.

As part of the projections of this expression, the preparation of ethnographic sheets was announced for their participation in the next National Meeting of Locos and Locainas, scheduled to take place from August 29 to 31 in Sanare, Lara state, where representatives from various regions of the country participate. During the day, the centers of ancestral knowledge of the Buroz municipality of Miranda state were also presented, which included the Caucagua Afrobarloventeño group.
