Institutional strategic alliance promotes cultural progress in Nueva Esparta

As part of a joint initiative to strengthen cultural development in Nueva Esparta, a strategic meeting was held led by the president of the state's Institute for Cultural Development, Celmary Velásquez de Barreto, and the general director of the Office of Culture in the entity, Héctor Casanova.
During the meeting, Velásquez reaffirmed the commitment to “work together and promote culture in Nueva Esparta, creating spaces for collaboration that benefit all artists and citizens”.
For his part, Casanova stressed that “the integration of local creativity in cultural projects is key to strengthening regional identity and generating a real impact on the territory”.
In addition, at this meeting, ideas were exchanged on strategies for cultural projection, training programs, spaces for artistic dissemination and new initiatives that reflect the Neo-Spartan identity.
This meeting responds to the guidelines of the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, and the governor of the state of Nueva Esparta, Marisel Velásquez de Millán, with the purpose of defining new alliances, actions and plans that strengthen artistic and cultural expression on Margarita Island.
The event was also attended by prominent representatives of regional culture, including: Patricia Acosta, General Coordinator of the Omar Carreño Arts Center; Juan Silva, visual artist; Tirso Solano, vice-president of CLEBNE; and Daniel Fagundez, producer, director, actor, filmmaker and teacher.
