The National Institute of Land Transportation (INTT), through the General Engineering Management, began horizontal demarcation work on two of the main road arteries in Maracaibo, Zulia state.

The work is carried out on Las Delicias Avenue, on the stretch from its intersection with Circunvalación Avenue 2 to the Passenger Terminal, and on Cecilio Acosta Avenue, from 3C Street to the entrances of the University of Zulia.

In total, the project will cover 10.44 kilometers of road and involves the application of continuous, discontinuous and diverging lines, the latter corresponding to horizontal signs that indicate the separation of channels and orients the driver in different directions, according to a press release from the INTT.

In addition, as an integral part of the work, 19,896 square meters of surface will be painted, including the demarcation of boulders, fences, public transport stops and school areas.

These actions are part of the National Road Demarcation Plan, which is designed to provide clear visual signs that guide the movement of vehicles and pedestrians, reduce the occurrence of accidents and optimize visibility in adverse conditions.

Finally, the INTT urges drivers to take precautions when traveling on these roads, because work is under way and some sections will remain temporarily closed.
