The National Institute of Land Transportation (INTT) began a road demarcation day from August 04 to 08, in several sectors of the El Valle, La Pastora and Caricuao parishes in Caracas.
The Ministry of Popular Power for Internal Relations, Justice and Peace, on its Instagram account, reported that in the 31st Mechanized Infantry Brigade “G/B Lucas Carvallo”, located in Fuerte Tiuna, a total of 345.84 square meters were demarcated, while 838.66 meters were demarcated in the parking lot of the Dr. José María Vargas Hospital.
Also, on streets 1, 2 and 3 of UD7, in Ruiz Pineda; as well as on a stretch of the old Caracas-Los Teques highway, 1,745.70 square meters were outlined.
In these areas, demarcations were carried out that include continuous and discontinuous lines, legends, arrows, brothels, transport stops, school zones and physical and virtual speed bumps, adjusted to the specific characteristics and needs of each urban space.
For her part, Amada Centeno, a resident of the community of Caricuao, highlighted the importance of the demarcation work carried out by this institution.
“I've been passing by and the INTT is demarcating the lines. I think it's very important because it helps us cross streets; it's especially useful for me, who is in a wheelchair,” he said.
In this regard, Yanet Pineda, justice of the peace of the main avenue of Ruiz Pineda, said that if the parish is happy with this work they are doing with the demarcation, “the Bolivarian Government shows its affection for the conservation of our spaces and the beautification of the streets.”
The rehabilitation of the country's main land roads is a task carried out by the INTT through its general engineering management, with the objective of maintaining optimal road conditions and thus contributing to the strengthening of safe mobility for communities.
