The family plays an important role in helping young people face the dangers that hide in the use of social networks, said the deputy to the National Assembly (AN), Iris Varela.

“Instead of banning them, we have to talk to our boys and tell them about the risks involved in using social networks. Let us remember that many are at vulnerable ages and do not have the capacity to discern when the content they consume in these ages is used or exposed with second intentions,” said Varela during her participation in the podcast Sin Truco Ni Maña, hosted by fellow MP Tania Díaz.

Also, the parliamentarian assured that in order to contribute to the work carried out by families to protect young people, it is necessary for the State to disseminate messages preventing the danger posed by the use of social networks.

“The JPSUV, the youth of our party, must also assume a leading role in this regard,” he said.
