During the program Sin Truco ni Maña, the president of the Venezuelan National Radio System (RNV), Isbemar Jiménez, presented the book Divinization or Demonization of the Worship of Bolivar in the Twentieth Century, an academic work written by the renowned revolutionary Eliézer Otaiza.
Jiménez explained that the work, based on Otaiza's doctoral work at the Central University of Venezuela (UCV), addresses the defense of Bolivarian ideology and the importance of the Liberator as the father of Venezuela.
According to Jiménez, the book academically dismantles the critiques that described Bolívar as a “national pathology” and vindicates his role as a revolutionary leader and symbol of Venezuelan sovereignty.
He stressed that the author, during his career as a political and academic fighter, Otaiza dedicated his life to confronting attempts to demonize and kidnap the figure of Bolivar, promoting his doctrine in spaces such as the Military Academy and alternative community media.
“This effort is part of the mission of evangelizing Bolivarian thought and strengthening national identity,” he said.
Jiménez highlighted the relevance of this work in the current context, where the Liberator's ideology remains a fundamental pillar of the Bolivarian Revolution, vindicated by Commander Hugo Chávez and lived by the Venezuelan people.
He added that this book was produced by the William Lara Foundation of the National Assembly, it represents an effort to vindicate the figure of the Liberator Simon Bolivar in the face of historical and academic attacks that have tried to distort his legacy.
