The vice-president for Community Councils and Communes of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Jorge Arreaza, called on the organization to exercise Community Power and use the resources of the National Popular Consultation efficiently, during a meeting he held with the Eliézer Otaiza Agroproductive Commune, in the La Mariposa sector, parish Miguel Peña from the municipality of Valencia, Carabobo state.

He also argued that the People are, as President Nicolás Maduro says, those who know how to manage resources in the best way, especially women and even more so if they are peasant women, producers.

“As Hugo Chávez said in 2012, if we are not building the communes, what are we doing? Because the Commune is the space where we are going to give birth to socialism, and if there is no Commune there is no socialism, if there is no socialism there is no revolution and without revolution we have no Homeland,” he said.

The leader stressed that President Maduro wants the people to govern. “The Commune is as much of a government as Rafael Lacava is governor and like Maduro is President,” he said.

In addition, during the day, Arreaza accompanied the inauguration of the perimeter fence of the Las Torres de Hugo Chávez Mission Base, La Mariposa Peasant Settlement, a project of the first National Popular Consultation of 2025. In turn, the inauguration of the Communal Government Room was also held.

On the other hand, he indicated that the victory of the candidate for re-election to the Government of Carabobo, Rafael Lacava, must be overwhelming. He also greeted with emotion and hope the candidates of the Great Patriotic Pole Simon Bolivar for the state of Carabobo who will participate in the regional and parliamentary elections on May 25.
