The president of the National Assembly (AN), deputy Jorge Rodríguez, assured that, through the speech of Professor Alejandro López, the clarity, wisdom and projection of that first proposal for the unity of free nations in Latin America, of the unity of the nascent nations that the sword of the Liberation Army managed to make independent and sovereign forever.

This was stated at the solemn session of the Legislative Branch, on the occasion of the commemoration of the Bicentennial of the Amphictyonic Congress of Panama.

He stressed that it was a speech “full of clarity and with the fundamental keys of a proposal still under design and that only in this way, from unity, will we be able to untie all the knots that burden our nations today”.

He also emphasized that it is essential that “we have met for the first time, and I dare to say that for the first time in the history of Venezuela, all the legislators are in one room, as well as the councilors, councilors, deputies and deputies of the regional legislative councils and the deputies of the AN.”

In that regard, he added that, as an example, “the more we unite, the more we meet, the stronger we will be and that was the supreme objective of El Libertador Simón Bolívar in convening the Panamanian Amphictyonic Congress.”

“Consequently, this is the first of many activities where we will meet again for discussion, for fruitful construction,” he said.
