The president of the National Assembly (AN), Jorge Rodríguez, highlighted the strength of the civic-military-police union as a fundamental pillar for preserving the country's stability.
In his speech at the Great Anti-Imperialist March, Rodríguez emphasized that “it is precisely the leadership of President Nicolás Maduro that keeps the people permanently mobilized in Caracas and throughout Venezuela,” he said while assuring that this expression of national unity is a strong response to the aggression of extremists.
“This town has overcome the greatest difficulties resulting from criminal blockades and sanctions. This resistance has made the most extremist and terrorist sectors desperate, who do not engage in politics but commit criminal acts to hinder peace. They have not succeeded and will not succeed,” he said.
Rodríguez denounced recent attempts to attack the country and recognized the coordinated action of the civilian-military-police alliance of the Bolivarian Revolution as a key factor in neutralizing these threats.
“The strength of this people has defeated them and will continue to defeat them. International aggressions, completely removed from any norm, have only increased our willingness to fight alongside President Nicolás Maduro,” he said.
The President of the Parliament also appealed to popular and community intelligence, urging citizens to remain alert to any irregular situation and to coordinate with the competent authorities to preserve peace.
“This effort belongs to the entire Venezuelan people, the Bolivarian Government and President Nicolás Maduro. Despite the threats and provocations, we have managed to preserve the peace of the Republic,” he concluded.
