Jorge Rodríguez: This AN, on January 10, will swear in Nicolás Maduro as President

The president of the National Assembly (AN), Jorge Rodríguez, emphasized this Friday that the current parliament has to legislate until next year 2026; so next January 10 they will have the task of swearing in President Nicolás Maduro after the great popular victory of July 28.

“The People of Venezuela elected us on December 6 of the year 2020 to be deputies of the Republic, they had to enter on January 5 of 2021 and they have to deliver in 2026, not one more day, but not one day less (...) that's why on January 10, 2025, we have to swear in Nicolás Maduro as President of the Republic,” he emphasized.

He also emphasized the democratic nature of the AN and the hard work they have done since 2021 to protect the people with the approval of 90 new laws.
