This Monday,
December 23, the president of the National Assembly (AN), Jorge Rodríguez, condemned
the former opposition parliamentarians of the year 2015 who continue to steal money from Venezuelans and
Venezuelans through a game misnamed “Guardians of Democracy”.
In this regard,
Rodríguez explained that this sector of the extreme right is stealing money from
Venezuela to be used in its conspiracy plans, with the activation of non-existent Non-Governmental
Organizations (NGOs), “which are nothing other than
the activation of violent commands again, but another part is for
the direct disbursement of those who call themselves, those who steal the function of deputies and call themselves the National Assembly
2015”.
He described it as serious
that today in 2024 “money continues to be stolen through the
Guardians of Democracy”. In this regard, he pointed out that the stolen money is also
used to finance their parties and the salary awarded to
officials is 5 to 15 thousand dollars per month.
“If you are a former deputy
or former deputy touches a single dollar of those who belong to the People of the
Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, the Simon Bolivar Law falls on them,” he said and
noted that an investigation is expected to be carried out so that justice can act accordingly.
“It must be immediately applied
to Mrs. Dinora Figuera, Marianela Fernández and Auristela
Vásquez, what has been established with regard to political disqualification, and criminal
offences established in the Simon Bolivar Law and the Extinction of Domination for this disgrace and demonstration of barbarism and infamy,” he said.
The
National Assembly approved this Monday to request that the Public Ministry (MP) initiate an
investigation against opposition leaders abroad, for having committed the crimes defined
in the Simon Bolivar Liberation Organic Law Against the Imperialist Bloc and in Defense of
the Bolivarian Republic, persisting
in their allegations of being the “only” National Assembly of Venezuela.
The decision was approved by the Delegate Committee of the AN, led by the President of the Parliament, Deputy Jorge Rodríguez, who presented a letter addressed by opposition leaders to the chargé d'affaires of the United States (USA) in Colombia and head of the US mission for Venezuela Francisco Palmieri, requesting resources for his “functions”.
