The head of the Venezuela Nuestra campaign of the 21st Century, Jorge Rodríguez, during an interview with the Colombian media W Radio, reiterated that Chavism will win the presidential elections on July 28 and they hope that the results will be recognized by the entire world.

The also president of the National Assembly, said that the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, is the candidate who represents a great alliance between the forces of the Bolivarian Revolution, the sectors of Chavism and the left in Venezuela.

He explained that there are several oppositions in the country, where 10 presidential candidates participate; nine of them belong to the Venezuelan opposition, distributed in 32 political parties. “All with due electoral guarantees and with one of the most transparent systems in the entire world,” he stressed.

He called for respect for all voters, who will have the right to vote for one of the nine opposition candidates. He added that it will be a process with the same guarantees that will be had with the machines in which the deputies were elected in 2015 and 2020, and the four opposition governors in 2021.

He said that the Revolution has won 28 electoral processes, in the midst of aggressions carried out by the opposition. “There are 21 million voters in Venezuela, and millions are going to vote for us. We are going to win the elections and we hope that they will be recognized by the whole world,” he said.

He also described as curious that an opposition candidate is singing fraud before the election occurs. “It's very curious that a sector already thinks it's a loser.”

He reiterated that, currently, there are more than a thousand international observers in Venezuela and that the Union of Electoral Organizations of Latin America, the Inter-American Union of Electoral Organizations and the African Union will participate as companions.

International observers will also participate, such as the Carter Center, which has experience accompanying electoral events in Venezuela since 2004, and the expert panel of the United Nations (UN).

On the case of the European Union, he said that international observation cannot take sides in an electoral event in another country. “In that sense, we proposed it to the European Union and they accepted it through their spokespersons, with whom we met,” he concluded.
