Joselyn Brea and Anthony Santander winners of the 2024 Athlete of the Year award in Venezuela

The long-distance runner Joselyn Brea and the granddeliga Anthony Santander were chosen by the Circle of Sports Journalists of Venezuela (CPD) as the 2024 Athletes of the Year.
Brea won the Female Athlete of the Year award with 541 points to beat Anyelin Venegas who scored 434 points and Lilibeth Chacón with 407 points.
For its part, Santander won the Male Athlete of the Year award with 465 points and surpassed the soccer player Jefferson Savarino who scored 448 points and the baseball player Luis Arráez who scored 400 points.
Meanwhile, Oswaldo Guillén and the team they manage (Tiburones de La Guaira) were chosen as Coach and Professional Team of the Year, respectively.
The Choice of the Year award went to the Men's National Baseball Team, which ranked among the four best in the world in the Premier 12 championship.
