The “Pedro Gual” Institute for Higher Diplomatic Studies (IAEDPG), through the Center for Foreign Relations Research and Documentation (CIDERE), held this Thursday the discussion “Keys to understanding the attack of the Zionist regime on the Islamic Republic of Iran”, which addressed the conflict in the Middle East, causes, consequences, global overview and fundamental aspects for the future.
At the installation of the colloquium, the Deputy Minister of Comprehensive Care for Venezuelan Migration and director of the IAEDPG, Pedro Sassone, indicated that the objective is to promote a culture of peace in the Middle East. “Dialogue is one of the mechanisms for mediating peace between Israel and Iran, just as Arab and Muslim peoples unite in support of Palestine,” he urged.
In this context, Sergio Rodríguez, professor at the IAEDPG, mentioned four variables that influence the armed conflict between the Israeli army and the Persian nation.
“First of all, we have the United States, which failed to achieve the expected objectives and results against Iran. Secondly, Iran has maintained its strength in the face of the Zionist entity for many years and works under the leadership of the government, people and armed forces, a triad that does not exist in Israel,” he explained.
Rodríguez noted that the third variable that influences is the paralysis of trade, education, transport, health, industry, generating great economic losses, and the fourth variable is that Iran “became a great world power and is an important actor for the region in terms of oil, gas, military, among others.”
For his part, the political advisor of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Amir Zare, condemned Israel's attacks against the Iranian people, assuring that these actions are a criminal and illegitimate aggression, violating human rights.
“The Israeli armed forces have assassinated senior leaders, attacked diplomatic offices and destroyed hospitals. Iran is a nation of peace that seeks healthy coexistence between peoples,” said the diplomat.
The activity, organized by the IAEDPG, was attended by diplomatic staff from the Iranian Embassy in Venezuela, workers from the Ministry of People's Power for Foreign Affairs and members of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV).
