The state of La Guaira has added four new routes to its tourist catalog, thus increasing the total number of 32 routes certified by the Ministry of Popular Power for Tourism (MINTUR).

Picacho de la Peña”, “Matilovers on wheels”, “Sabana Rincón de Mima” and “Bosque Rincón de Mima”, located in the municipality of Vargas, are added to the 912 routes registered throughout the country. Minister Leticia Gómez announced the incorporation during the five-star categorization ceremony of the Gran Cacique Maiquetía hotel, accompanied by the Deputy Minister of Tourism.

Governor José Alejandro Terán highlighted that these new itineraries diversify the recreational offer on the central coast. “La Guaira has a privileged geography that allows the development of mountain, coastal and river routes, with the potential to attract both national and international tourism,” he said.

The route extension, officially presented this Thursday, October 2, is part of the national community tourism strategy, which seeks to strengthen community participation, boost the local economy and promote activities with a regional identity.
