After 20 years of racing, Venezuelan cyclist Daniel Dhers officially said goodbye to the tracks of the American continent.
The multiple BMX Freestyle champion was
part of the Pan-American Championship of the discipline, which took place on
November 2 and 3 in the National State of that country, where
he received an ovation from fans and spectators in Chile and after completing his presentations he offered the news.
“It's difficult right
now. It's a lifetime in this. It's been 26 years since I
first rode a bicycle, and 20 as a professional. When I get to the
competition I feel tired, but when I'm ready to
go out, I say: I'm here I have to jump in and I have to do a good routine,” said Dhers, quoted by the Ministry of People's Power for Sports.
Dhers noted that
his retirement caused him ups and downs before each competition, but
he always kept the desire to win.
