Llorenti: Venezuela takes the lead to alert the world to the fascist threat

The former secretary of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America-Peoples' Trade Treaty (ALBA-TCP), Sacha Llorenti, described the World Congress Against Fascism and Neo-Fascism and other similar expressions as “historic” and assured that it is preparing us for the coming struggles.

Llorenti highlighted the avant-garde role of our country in denouncing these expressions, since according to him, “Venezuela is once again taking the lead to alert the world to what is coming, to the serious fascist and neofascist threat that is spreading all over the world”, while explaining that this activity occurs “in the midst of four structural crises that jeopardize the existence of the human species through capitalism, imperialism and fascism”.

“This congress allows us to articulate ourselves to prepare for the battles that are sure to come (...) Venezuela is once again at the forefront, as did Commander Chávez with the creation of CELAC (Community of Latin American and Caribbean States), of ALBA; but above all, with the construction of an emancipatory horizon.”

Finally, he called for the unity of the Peoples to face these threats, which represent the crisis of capitalism, and which is the only alternative to overcome this scourge.
