Manager finalists and rookie of the year! Carlos Mendoza and Jackson Chourio stand out in the MLB National League

Venezuelans Carlos Mendoza and Jackson Chourio stand out in the Major League Baseball (MLB) National League and are among the finalists for awards awarded by the United States Baseball Writers Association (BBWAA).
Mendoza of the New York Mets, in his first year as helmsman in the Majors, is among the three finalists to win the Manager of the Year award.
The Venezuelan's rivals are: Pat Murphy of the Milwaukee Brewers and Mike Shildt of the San Diego Padres.
For his part, Chourio, a 20-year-old player for the Milwaukee Brewers, is a strong candidate for Rookie of the Year award on the old circuit.
Chourio is competing for the prize against Jackson Merrill of the San Diego Padres and Paul Skenes of the Pittsburgh Pirates.
The Rookie of the Year will be announced on Monday, November 18. While the Manager of the Year will be announced on Tuesday 19th, both awards at 7:00 PM, Venezuelan time.
