The mayor of Caracas, Carmen Meléndez, supervised the rehabilitation work of the Dr. José Gregorio Hernández House Museum, located in the parish of La Pastora, as part of the preparations for the canonization of the Doctor of the Poor, and of Mother Carmen Rendiles, scheduled for this month of October at the Vatican.
“In this emblematic space for religious tourism in our capital city, we are making comprehensive improvements, with the objective of receiving our own and visitors in optimal conditions, within the framework of this historic celebration for the Venezuelan people,” said the mayor during the visit.
Meléndez emphasized that, in addition to the works inside the Casa Museo, work is also being carried out in the surrounding area, with the aim of strengthening religious tourism in the capital.
“We continue to work with love and commitment for Caracas, preserving its spiritual and cultural heritage, and accompanying the people on every step of this journey of faith,” he added
