Mayor Farith Fraija: New Independence Terminal to be inaugurated in October

The mayor of the Guaicaipura municipality, Farith Fraija, inspected the new passenger terminal: Terminal Independencia, located in the La Matica sector, which will replace the current La Singer stop and will have a series of significant improvements aimed at optimizing public transport in Los Teques.

Through his Instagram account, he announced that the work will be inaugurated in the month of October.

He stressed that the construction of the modern passenger terminal is progressing, which will transform urban mobility and provide greater convenience to users.

Fraija stressed that the project places special emphasis on safety and accessibility, especially for people with mobility difficulties.

“Safe stops and a completely modern walkway are being built that will include access ramps, an initiative aimed at our citizens, so that they can enjoy a beautiful, tidy and modern city,” he said.

The construction of the Terminal began on May 11 and aims to decongest the Los Lagos Terminal, in addition to facilitating access to the lines on the southern axis of Los Teques.

He specified that among the outstanding features are: Bay with capacity for two or three buses; Virtual assistance module for user orientation; Specific stops for mototaxis; Access ramps for people with reduced mobility; Kiosks, toilets and basic services and modern and safe walkway.
