Mayor Meléndez: Operation Caracas Smile serves approximately 8,000 people in El Junquito

The Mayor of Caracas, Carmen Melédez, from the parish of El Junquito, reported that in the last 48 hours Operation Caracas Smile has served approximately 8,000 people.

From kilometer 23 of El Junquito, Meléndez, explained that people from three communes were treated, in what was the 33rd deployment of the aforementioned operation.

Meléndez asserted that people were served in the areas of social, economic and productive, security, works and services.

He also added that he held a meeting with a spokesperson and a spokesperson for each Commune to listen to their needs and the projects they want to develop. “The people are empowered and we are governing the territory with direct communication with them to find a solution to the problems in each territory,” he said.

“In El Junquito we have intervened and achieved the repair and rehabilitation of the CDI at kilometer 23, in addition to the construction of the CDI at kilometer 10 with a maternity hospital that was recently inaugurated and the first people of Junquito were born,” he said.

The mayor reported that at the end of the afternoon when the last person is treated, the camp will be installed in Antímano parish where they will stay for 48 hours.

“The pre-tour has already been done, we didn't arrive empty-handed, we arrived at once working. On Friday and Saturday, we will provide special attention to our people,” he said.
