Mérida authorities inspect damage to housing in the Andean entity

The public servants of the Fund for the Integral Development of Habitat and Housing of the state of Mérida (FONHVIM) assessed the effects caused by heavy rains in the Santa Catalina sectors, Jacinto Plaza parish of the Libertador municipality of the Andean entity, as announced by Governor Jehyson Guzmán through the social network Instagram.
“The president of Fonhvim, Brenda Albornoz, highlighted that eight houses were found at high risk, five with partial flooding, two with total flooding and one with a collapse in the kitchen wall,” said the highest authority of the Andean entity on the digital network.
Also, on September 3, there was heavy rainfall that left several houses affected as a result. The director of Civil Protection of the Andean entity, Luis Lobo, said that the municipalities of Libertador and Alberto Adriani were partially damaged by the floods, while in the Antonio Pinto Salinas municipality the fall of a tree caused damage to a house.
Previously, FONHVIM carried out works on four fronts of work, which included construction, improvements, delivery of materials and credits.
“19 social housing units, while another 31 are under construction. These 50 houses built and under construction contribute to the regional progress of the Great Venezuela Housing Mission,” said the president of the said instance, Brenda Albornoz.
