Mérida deployed with Simulacrum instructed by President Maduro in the face of Disasters and Armed Conflicts

The Town of Mérida was deployed this Saturday in all the municipalities of the entity to respond to the call of President Nicolás Maduro to participate in the Simulation against Disasters and Armed Conflicts, following the swarm of earthquakes recorded in the country recently.

From the Santos Marquina municipality, one of the strategic points for carrying out this exercise, the mayor of this jurisdiction, José Valmore Otalora, detailed part of the process and how it is being carried out.

“Following the guidelines of President Nicolás Maduro, we are on militia Saturday and today at a Civil Protection Simulation to prepare all our people how to act in the face of a disaster or national shock,” he said.

In this regard, he highlighted the massive participation of the People and, “once again we are ratifying that civic-military-police union, where the full community has been participating, and all those who have training in health, civil protection, prevention and emergency situations, are giving us excellent theoretical and practical guidance in this regard.”
