The Sectorial Vice President for Policy, Public Security and Peace, Diosdado Cabello Rondón, reaffirmed that during the current month of August, which has not ended, “we have (seized) 51,664 kilos of drugs, that is, 51.6 tons, we already have half that in theory should have tried to pass through Venezuela.”

“The projection says that by the end of the year, we should be above 70% of what they (UN) say goes through Venezuela,” he said.

This was stated by Cabello, referring to the report of the United Nations (UN), about 5% of drugs produced in Colombia that drug trafficking groups intend to transit through the country, “is around 104 to 106 tons, which in theory should try to pass through Venezuela.”

The explanation was offered during an event held in the Macuto parish, in the parking lot of the Jorge Luis García Carneiro G/J Baseball Stadium, in the state of La Guaira, where the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, led the act to strengthen the Quadrants for Peace Plan for the Community Circuits .
