Minister Cabello confirmed that 2025 will be the year of the fight against gangs: We are confronting them!

“The year 2025 is the year of the fight against gangs; call them criminal gangs, drug gangs, terrorist gangs, gangs of conspirators, because in the end they are all linked together, because in a sector of the Venezuelan opposition they stopped being politicians and belonging to criminal gangs.”

This was emphasized by the sectoral vice-president for Politics, Public Security and Peace, Diosdado Cabello, from the state of Carabobo, where together with the governor of this entity, he delivered equipment for the Carabobeño security forces.

The Minister for Internal Relations, Justice and Peace also emphasized the actions taken by security forces across the country to combat these gangs that seek to alter the country's peace.

“We are confronting them,” he said while reiterating his complaint about the links of opposition extremism with criminal gangs to generate violence and anxiety in the population, as well as with drug trafficking gangs to obtain funding for their destabilizing plans.

He gave as an example, the criminal nicknamed “Cachete” who was killed this Thursday after facing a commission from the Scientific, Criminal and Criminal Investigations Corps (CICPC), in the El Guarataro sector of the city of Caracas.

“That man nicknamed 'Cachete' was the one who led the gangs that tried to get from San Martín Avenue to the Miraflores Palace on July 29. There are the graphics, the recordings of the cameras where this citizen is seen operating together with the 'commandos' because that is the modus operandi that decided that right,” he said.
