The sectoral vice-president for Politics, Citizen Security and Peace, Diosdado Cabello Rondón, reaffirms the commitment of the Bolivarian Government to guarantee the tranquility and security of all Venezuelans, to move away from the attempts of the extreme right to generate violence with the help of Colombian drug trafficking and criminal gangs.

“I want to tell our people that they can have peace of mind, security, certainty, that the National Government works tirelessly together with the Security Agencies, of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB), to guarantee peace,” said Cabello Rondón during a press conference in which he denounced a terrorist plan orchestrated by the extreme right that included the explosion of an artifact in Plaza Venezuela.

He asserted that they decided to report on the operation because “our people must be informed, they must know what is happening”, in that sense, he pointed out that, a people who know what they are exposed to helps and gives information when they see something strange.

Cabello highlighted that there are several people arrested who refused to do the job (place the explosive device) but they didn't get over the news, “they never said anything.”

“One of those who cracked said he was told to put the explosive in the Caracas Metro, but he refused. He doesn't care about the lives of children, no one can imagine the damage that an explosion could cause,” he added.

He recalled that the use of explosive devices by order of the extreme right, who have links to Colombian drug trafficking and criminal groups, has been repeatedly denounced. “I'm going to repeat it again, once again when the New York Time releases it is when they're going to believe it,” he said.

Cabello highlighted that there is an intelligence team working in detail, to reach all the links they use, how much and when it was paid, how much each cartridge is worth in what they call the band market.

He explained that alias El Flaco was in Colombia and was coming to Venezuela to “do the job” after being contacted by alias El Titi. “One was going to Colombia through San Cristóbal and the other to Trinidad and Tobago through the state of Sucre.”
