The president in charge of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, this Friday, August 28, held a meeting with the president of the South American Football Confederation (CONMEBOL), Alejandro Domínguez, with the purpose of strengthening international sports relations and strengthening the country's football infrastructure.

At the meeting, reported Venezolana de Televisión, which was attended by the president of the Venezuelan Football Federation (FVF), Jorge Giménez, new spaces for cooperation were established to consolidate public policies aimed at massive sports promotion and the modernization of high-performance venues.

The Venezuelan State's commitment to raising the standards of national football was also highlighted, integrating the country into the dynamics of the continent's most emblematic events, such as the Copa América and the Copa Libertadores.

For its part, the Presidential Press portal, noted that the working day takes place after the recent visit of Alejandro Domínguez and Jorge Giménez to the state of Lara, where they began construction of the National Center for High Performance (CNAR).

He affirms that this fundamental work will be aimed at the comprehensive preparation of national teams to guarantee the success and competitiveness of their athletes on the international stage.
