Minister Cardillo to Softball champions: They are heroes of the nation

The Minister of People's Power for Sports, Franklin Cardillo, highlighted this Tuesday the heroics of the national softball team, which was crowned in the 18th WBSC 2025 World Cup, held in Canada.

“They are heroes of the nation. You can't imagine what they have achieved,” said Minister Cardillo from the Miraflores Palace, where the champions were received by the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro.

He stressed that the team had already participated in two editions of world championships, “obtaining a third place, a second place and these young people who are here today, as a result of their support (President Maduro), of their work, of their guidance in terms of planning, organizing the entire coaching staff”, achieved this important feat

“We have worked hand in hand with an entire multidisciplinary, interdisciplinary team, doctors, physios, psychologists, national coaches (...) today, dedicating champions of this world championship to the best selection in the world with the best teams in the world, Venezuela,” he emphasized.
