The La Vega parish received a visit from the Minister of Popular Power for Sports, Franklin Cardillo, in the “” Hoyada La Ladera” commune to oversee sports expansion plans and promote participation in the fourth Popular Consultation of new social projects that will be elected this Sunday throughout the country.

During the tour of the communal circuit, the leader of the national sports portfolio called on the qualifiers of La Vega to actively participate in the fourth consultation of the People's Power, scheduled for this Sunday.

The activity was attended by community spokespersons, representatives of the militia, local work teams and community sports organizations.

Local Development

Cardillo highlighted the commitment of the communities of La Vega, who will present projects aimed at local development and the direct benefit of the inhabitants, and stressed that these initiatives are part of the consultation mechanism promoted by the National Executive, to strengthen citizen participation and popular planning.

“We invite all neighbors to be part of this day, in which the projects that will promote improvements in each community will be decided. It's an opportunity to build solutions from the ground up and to advance the well-being of our people,” said the minister.

Sports spokespersons

During the visit, Cardillo highlighted the work of community sports spokespersons, who are preparing for the next III National Community Sports Games, an initiative that seeks to promote physical activity and community integration.

The minister conveyed to the community the greetings of the President of the Republic Nicolás Maduro and reiterated the call for participation. “Tomorrow is a key day. Let us all come to vote and to continue strengthening Popular Power,” Cardillo insisted.

Priority projects

For her part, Ninoska Sojo, responsible for the self-government room, reported that she has continued to provide institutional support to the projects carried out together with the communities of the circuit.

“In the most recent projects, there has been a significant increase in community participation, especially during youth voting processes,” he said.

In addition, Sojo emphasized that they are currently giving priority to the expansion of the communal module, a work that is in the accountability phase, to the strengthening of the textile house and the consolidation of the Self-Government Room.

As part of the Ministry of Sports's efforts to promote mass sports, Cardillo provided basketball, soccer and volleyball equipment so that the community can continue to promote physical activity and healthy leisure to all children and young people.
