Minister Gómez discussed tourism cooperation with Oman in Saudi Arabia

During a working day at the 26th General Assembly of UN Tourism, held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, the Minister of People's Power for Tourism, Leticia Gómez, held a bilateral meeting with her counterpart from Oman, Salim M. Almahruqi, in which they discussed proposals for cooperation in the area of innovation, training and tourism marketing.
At the meeting, both authorities exchanged views on the incorporation of digital technologies and artificial intelligence in the planning of the tourism sector, as well as on progress towards the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding that includes joint training and international promotion programs.
Minister Gómez is participating in this multilateral meeting on behalf of the Bolivarian Government of Venezuela, as part of more than seven decades of relationship with this specialized agency of the United Nations. The Venezuelan delegation is accompanied by the ambassador to Saudi Arabia, David Velásquez.
It should be noted that this Assembly brings together 117 delegates from member States, 70 ministerial representatives and 159 associates, and will run until November 11. In this edition, the thematic axis revolves around “Tourism powered by artificial intelligence: redefining the future”.
