Minister Gómez highlights the arrival of 100 Russian tourists and tour operators to Margarita Island

The Minister of Popular Power for Tourism, Leticia Gómez Hernández, highlighted the arrival of the delegation of 100 Russian tourists and tour operators to the island of Margarita, in the state of Nueva Esparta, through the international promotion of Venezuela, with a bilateral marketing strategy between both nations.

He reaffirmed that these alliances make it possible to energize the national economy. “The arrival of this group demonstrates the confidence of the Russian market in our country,” he said.

He also emphasized that “the presence of tour operators is crucial, since they will become our main ambassadors, promoting the quality and safety of our destinations”.

The tourist operation was carried out thanks to Venetur, through the charter strategy that seeks to consolidate existing routes and open up new business opportunities in the entity, with the visit of tourists who enjoyed the beauty of Margarita Island with a familiarization trip (fam trip ).

This strategic tour will allow them to learn first-hand about the island's attractions, as well as other key destinations such as Caracas and Canaima, with the aim of expanding and diversifying Venezuela's tourist offer in the Russian market.
