As part of the preparations for the commemorative acts of the canonization of Blessed José Gregorio Hernández, the Minister of Popular Power for Tourism, Leticia Gómez Hernández, made an official visit to the state of Trujillo, specifically to the city of Isnotú, with the objective of evaluating hotel and service infrastructures designed to receive thousands of national and international visitors.
The minister was received by the governor of the Andean entity, Gerardo Márquez, together with local authorities, with whom she inspected the progress made in the rehabilitation, conditioning and embellishment of the Diocesan Museum of the Child Jesus and the Posada Isnotú, which are part of a tourist circuit that seeks to highlight the life and work of the so-called Doctor of the Poor.
During the day, thematic tourist routes were defined that narrate the history and spiritual legacy of Dr. José Gregorio Hernández, to promote religious tourism as an engine of economic and cultural development in the region.
This initiative responds to instructions from the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro Moros and Executive Vice President Delcy Rodríguez, who have expressed their commitment to promoting faith, national heritage and strengthening the local economy.
