The Minister of Popular Power for Culture, Ernesto Villegas, highlighted that the second edition of his book Maja Mía is available in the Venezuelan pavilion at the XXI International Book Fair of Venezuela (FILVEN), which takes place in the National Art Gallery and Youth Square until Sunday, July 13.

“The second edition of Maja Mía, the biographical book I wrote about my mother, Maja Poljak, is now available,” he said through his Telegram channel.

He also said that “I dedicated the early mornings of the last few months to reviewing and correcting the first edition, published last year as part of the centenary of the birth of the beautiful woman who gave me life: a Jewish communist who fled the Nazis in the former Yugoslavia and ended up taking root and fighting in Venezuela.”

He also noted that “now, with the help of professionals, I am working on its translation into other languages”.

On the other hand, he extended the invitation to the presentation of the book The Boat of Our Unfinished Dreams by Rosinés Chávez Rodríguez, at 4:00pm, at FILVEN.
