Ministry of Ecosocialism will relaunch conservation committees

During the celebration of World Environmental Education Day, the Minister of Ecosocialism, Josué Lorca Vega, announced that the program for the creation of conservation committees will be relaunched at the national level.

As reported by the newspaper Úlmas Noticias, the minister explained that the goal is to produce more than 8 million forest, fruit, ornamental and medicinal plants.

“That is, 4 million plants in the institutional nurseries of MINEC and 4 million in alliance with the People's Power through the organization of communities dedicated to the production of crops such as coffee, cacao, merey, teak and other forest species,” said Lorca.

The official said that this is equivalent to 15,000 hectares planted, “with different planting densities, serving a population of 10,000 families throughout the country.”
