Ministry of Industries restarted operations of the Inelec plant to produce household appliances

As part of the National Import Replacement Plan promoted by the Bolivarian Government, operations of the Inelec Plant, located in the city of Maracay, Aragua state, were restarted with the objective of relaunching the production of household appliances under the emblematic Taurus brand.

The reactivation of the plant, coordinated between national investors and the Ministry of People's Power for Industries and National Production, seeks to strengthen national productive capacity and the manufacture of 100% domestic appliances, guaranteeing domestic supply.

In this regard, Minister Alex Saab stressed that this initiative is part of the efforts led by the Executive Vice President, Delcy Rodríguez, to recover the country's industrial capacities.

“We are reactivating an emblematic plant in Maracay so that Venezuelans can once again have appliances produced in our own country. The Tauro brand returns as a symbol of industrial pride and as a guarantee of fair prices for our people,” he said.
